Perhaps the best part of Rock Lake Ranch is the way nature shows off around here. With its lush waterfront setting, wildlife abounds. Beautiful bluebirds speckle the woods and cardinals nest in clusters of cedars. Breathtaking sunsets and morning dew saturated grass, while common, are never taken for granted at Rock Lake Ranch.

In recent years, we have been blessed with a close-up view of an eagle couple that resides here from fall through spring. This is the fifth year that we have watched “George” and “Martha” build their family and take turns “sitting the nest” to hatch one to three eaglets each season. There is nothing more majestic than the swoop of a glistening white head of a bald eagle over the cottage pond to grasp a fish or two in its massive claws.
