Photographer’s Guidelines
It is our pleasure to allow you to use the ranch as a backdrop for beautiful engagement photos. There are many opportunities for unique and artistic shots that we will be happy to point out, if we do not have other appointments and time permits. Currently, we are able to offer at no charge to you a complimentary* engagement photo session. We ask a few things in return:
- Schedule an appointment. Engagement photo sessions are for a maximum of two hours beginning on the hour.We will make every attempt to honor your appointment time. On rare occasion, we may ask you to terminate, relocate, or reschedule to accommodate ranch activities.*Photo shoots are complimentary if you provide us with a disk of full resolution photos. Otherwise, there is a $100 charge for the two-hour session.
- Leave things as you found them. If you need to move something, go ahead, but put it back.
- Please don’t block roads, walkways, or park in undesignated areas.
- Check in when you arrive and leave at the office building.
- Dressing area. If you schedule a shoot during regular office hours, you may use the restroom in the office building as a changing area. If it is after hours, you will not have access to a changing area so please plan accordingly.
- Your personal belongings and your client’s are your responsibility. Do not leave valuables unattended.
- Be careful. There are the typical hazards associated with water and ranch land—including spiders, snakes, wildlife, and yes, an occasional alligator visitor.
- Drive slowly. 15 mph and watch carefully around blind corners.
- Share your great shots with us by email or Dropbox. We love to post wedding and engagement photos on our Pinterest board—we will give your photo credits as you specify (and a link to your website if you wish) It is a great advertising opportunity for both of us.
